Pick a Bow (SS23)

The title is a pun on the word “peekaboo”, and the reason it is quite childish is that the inspiration for these hats has come from my first holiday home in 5 years! 

Back in 2022, my partner and I decided to visit our families in early September, which allowed us to spend a few days at the seaside in the same place we used to go as kids. 

During our stay, an incredible summer storm broke out: hours of cloudy skies, dark sand, and a tumultuous sea. It was mesmerising. 

After it, we went for a walk, and the colours were so beautiful, so deep and rich, so alive that I took a ridiculous number of photos, and those photos have become my colour palette and inspiration for this collection.
