A turban is a stylish fabric headpiece, often (but not always) draped over a base, that mimics the look of a wrapped cloth. It can be created by draping, pleating, or wrapping materials over a base to give it structure, or by simply manipulating and stitching fabrics such as silk, satin, velvet, or tweed to achieve a softer finish. There is always the possibility of adding embellishments such as feathers, flowers, or brooches for a more couture look.
